Check hreflang annotations on a web page
This tool extracts language and regional hreflang links declared in page HTML. Enter a public address to see which alternative versions are announced in the server response.
Enter a public HTTP or HTTPS page address
Read the detected language labels and associated URLs
Compare the list with the expected versions of the material
Use a separate technical audit to check relationships across the website
Enter a public URL without query parameters, a fragment or login credentials.
Only public HTTP/HTTPS addresses are checked, with time, size and redirect limits. Results are observations, not guarantees.
What the result shows
The list reflects declarations from one page in the returned HTML. It can help reveal a missing version or unexpected address. An entry alone does not establish that every language relationship is correct: the corresponding pages and return links need their own checks.
Check coverage
- Browser JavaScript is not executed
- Relationships in HTTP headers and XML sitemaps are outside this HTML inspection
- Other pages and all reciprocal links are not checked automatically
- Results may use a cache of up to five minutes
Frequently asked questions
Why is a language version present but no entry found?
A language switcher can exist without hreflang. Declarations may also use a different method or be added by JavaScript after loading. Compare the result with the source code and the website’s actual configuration.
